Age of the Earth

God created the Earth and everything else in the universe in 6 days about 6000 years ago. Everything that we see around us fits just fine into that worldview. We do not have to stretch time out to billions of years to make some theoretical concept look feasible. Even the fabulous major features of the surface of the Earth can be explained in a much more feasible way than the uniformitarian system of the evolutionists.

The Earth was created by God about 6000 years ago
We are told this through the ages of people in a document that has survived for thousands of years. We don't have to make it up or guess. Archaeology is constantly uncovering finds that verify the stories, places, and people described in the Book. The universe itself gives us clues to information.
Don't worry if you can't remember it all
But, what if you are one of those who believe in the Bible, but just cannot hold your own in the discussion with atheists and those who believe in evolution? They will throw baseless "scientific" arguments at you that sound so complex that you give in because "they must be smarter than you". Don't fall for these arguments - ask them for proof. Don't allow them to just treat you like you are stupid, make them support what they say. To see what I mean, try going to Age of the Earth. Read all the links and references, because all the arguments are there if you need them or just need to refer someone else to them. Just because you cannot recall this material off the top of your head does not mean the other guys are right!
Need some examples?
Just take comets, for example. A comet travels the universe spreading its tail everywhere. A comet that is largely ice can only last so long if it continually loses its mass as it travels. Just how long can a comet lose mass and still exist? An article at http://original.britannica.com/eb/article-54347/comet briefly describes how comets lose their mass through their tails, but the tails are regenerated by the constant decay of their nuclei.
When one asks how long comets can last, scientists immediately respond with the fact that it doesn't matter because they are continually replaced by comets that are bumped out of the infamous, but unverified, Oort cloud. This eliminates the problem that eventually comets must decay away to nothing over a few thousand years. But without this Oort cloud of handy replacements, the universe cannot be more than thousands of years old - most definitely not millions or billions of years. Again, scientists have come to the rescue of the ailing big bang theory with a definition of science that uses neither measurement or observation.
How do you draw something that you've "never seen"?
Or what about the drawings on the cave walls? If dinosaurs died out 65,000,000 years ago because of a comet impact, how did the "cave men" know what they looked like? Were there "cave man" archaeologists digging up bones and developing concepts of living creatures from the piles of bones? How do these "scientists" explain that? Below is a cave drawing that shows a man and a dinosaur in the same area on the wall.
And there are others, many of which the skeptics claim are not the results of sighting but they are concepts from the "Cave Man" archaeologists that were not busy enough staying alive, so they supposedly dug up bones and imagined what the skin and limbs looked like on dead animals.
So, if men could draw pictures of animals that were stalking around, that means either men have been around longer than the "scientists" think, or dinosaurs were around more recently than they think. My bet is on both being created more recently - like about 6000 years ago or so.
